In response to the lack of gambling studies in Hong Kong , a collaborative research project involving Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, and the Social Welfare Practice and Research, Department of Social Work, The Chinese University of Hong Kong was carried out. The major objectives of the studies were 1) to explore the psychosocial profiles of problem gamblers in Hong Kong based on the Chinese G-Map; 2)to examine the psychometric properties of the Chinese G-Map ; 3) to highlight the clinical unility of the G-Map and the indigenous model adopted in Even Centre.
